Minecraft Description

Minecraft is the most popular sandbox game in the world with a community bigger than any other. The game was originally created by Mojang and then bought out by Microsoft for $2.5 billion in 2014. Minecraft is available across a wide range of devices. You can buy copies of the game on mobile devices, computers and the major game consoles.

The game lends a lot of its constant success to the ability it has to morph into whatever game people want it to be. Anybody can crack open the code of the game and make changes. „Modders„, map makers and skin editors the world over work away at this art. This „modding“ is the key to keeping the game fresh and attracting new players.

How Minecraft Works

In Minecraft the player starts out with very little in the way of resources. By using the in game workbench, players craft simple tools and weapons. These improved tools aid them in acquiring more exotic materials. The improved weaponry and armour assist the player in battling larger foes.

Players must build a base and equip themselves with the equipment needed to survive. Night time is when the monsters appear in large numbers. The mobs that swamp you in the dark add an element of difficulty to the game.

Some people prefer not to fight with monsters and see their creations destroyed. An annoyance in the game are angry green walking mobs called Creepers that explode when near you. These players switch from survival mode over to creative. In creative mode you can float around the map and have access to as many of each resource as you want. This mode is great for experimenting or focusing on building beautiful structures.

Server Hosting History

Minecraft server hosting  is necessary to keep a persistent world online. This private server will allow anybody around the world to join. It runs 24/7 and ensure that the players content (such as structures and mined resources) are kept safe. Trying to run a server on your own computer means that you will need to keep your computer on all day. You also need to ensure there are no interruptions to your internet connection. You also use up resources on your machine hosting the game and thus harming your performance. As you can see, doing a DIY job on you Minecraft server is hardly worth it when the cost of it is so low.

Before Minecraft was popular, hosting companies simply provided a space for your game. Now, you can gain access to an amazing array of easy tools to manage your game without any coding. It was only when the explosion in popularity came did specialist providers spring up. These expert niche providers who only sell Minecraft hosting started developing custom platforms.

Minecraft Custom Control Panel

You now expect a provider to have a custom built control panel. These custom platforms allow you to easily and instantly install ready made code. This code may include mod packs, maps and skins. Most panels feature the ability to maintain players and view stats live.

Who is Best and Who is Cheapest?

Best Minecraft Server Hosting

We have watched Host Havoc grow into an industry leader during our time comparing hosts. With what started out as a one man summer project spawned into a massive team. Host Havoc owe this to their attitude towards customers as well as their technical know how.

If you are looking for an established game host who knows the games they offer then Havoc is the best choice. They don’t offer a huge catalogue of games like providers, like GameServers.com. The games they do offer though, they know inside and out and have specialised in.

From what we have seen, Host Havoc tend to bend over backwards for their customers. If you browse through their reviews on this site you will find it difficult to see anything negative. Take a look yourself and its doubtful they would put you off going with them. They do usually sit in the cheap end of the MC server pricing range. Although Host Havoc are sometimes beaten on price the service stands out above the rest.

Cheapest Minecraft Server Hosting

If you are shopping purely based on price, using the list that we maintain above as a guide shows you most providers have a floor of around $5 per GB. A few of the names that sit at the top of the price list include Enderman Hosting, Rox Servers and Host Havoc. Havoc is the company that we deemed as our favourite to hold the Best position – Host Havoc.
If you can pick a provider that is under $6 per GB per month then you are looking at the lower end of the prices. Going any lower and you will probably end up with sub-par performance. Not being able to connect or experiencing performance issues with your server is annoying. When all you want to do is play a game you love it is probably not worth sacrificing a dollar or two for.

Features You Need With Minecraft Hosting

Mod Pack Installation

Unless you are playing standard Minecraft (which pretty much no one does anymore) you will need modding support. Having mod support built into a control panel so that you can do it when you need it is important too.

A few companies provide this service but you need to get in touch with them through a support system. Talking to support staff to get things done can take time. That precious time you are wasting could be spent playing on the server that you are paying for.

Custom Map Support

Another important but widespread solution available is the ability to change the map. A lot of Minecraft hosts have a bunch of maps ready for you to choose from. You should be able to find a map choosing option in the control panel or when you first buy your server. Even though the map in MC is procedurally built a custom map can take away risk. Sometimes you can spawn in a world with a weird map that you will want to reset once you have explored it a little.

Multiple Geographical Location Support

Although the internet is lightning fast, it still has limits. You will experience lag if you are far away from your Minecraft online server. As a rule of thumb you should really be within the same continent as where your machine is kept. An even better solution would to be in the same country or state.

A really good provider will be able to move your server around the world if you require them too. You may need it moved due to you relocating home or the fan base you acquire live in different areas worldwide.

Upgrading Automatically

As your server becomes more and more popular you will want to add more resources to your package. Usually Minecraft server hosting is sold by the GB which is in reference to the RAM it has access too.

As your game peaks with more and more players and you install more mods, the RAM usage will increase. As this happens you will need to start paying for an upgrade. Most providers allow you to use as much CPU as you need to (within reason). Although you have access to a lot of CPU, you may want to pay to to increase your priority over other servers. Being able to easily order more RAM for your server is a must. This ability is available from all every game server provider we compare prices for (as far as we are aware).

Who Developed Minecraft?

The story of Minecraft is quite a unique one. Not very often does a game get bought out by another company for such a huge price tag due to games losing audience. This is thanks to the way that the game allows modding. Modding makes it easy for the public to add and evolve the game themselves (rather than the company that owns it). Many other game developers took the same approach after seeing Minecraft’s success.

The way it works with most games, is that to add features, the developers would need to justify the changes with sales. Its only once all of the department in the company agree that the changes will make money will the work go ahead. With free coders working towards the same goal it doesn’t matter if the mods are profitable. The main issue is whether the mod will be fun to play for them and people around them.

Mojang

Mojang was the name of the original company that built and then sold Minecraft. It all started with one main person leading the project named Markus Persson. The simpleness of the game meant that it did not need a lot of developers and artists. The most important factor was that it was a good idea and somebody had the passion to get it built.

The game spread like wildfire through the internet and ended up storming the charts. The large audience is due to its generic attraction to all groups of people. Much like how the Sims franchise of games remained the best sellers in the PC world for years, Minecraft enjoyed similar success. The fact that the game is on all the major consoles and keeps receiving updates adds to its reign at the top.

Microsoft

Microsoft saw an opportunity to be able to milk the game for money if they bought it. It seems since purchasing the game they have taken advantage of the franchise.. They brought out more and more real-life products in toy shops, a movie and more game modes that people can buy.

Minecraft on Game Consoles

Microsoft are currently putting the work into making the Minecraft hosting cross platform. As of now (early 2018) you are unable to make a mobile Minecraft (or Pocket Edition as its known) server work with PC versions. The main issue is because of the mobile versions broken down and simplistic nature. The mobile version of the game has cut out many of the device resource hogging elements. You don’t have access to mods and advanced resources in the mobile version.

Once this is available their may be a new jump in the player count. People who play the game casually on the sofa with a PlayStation 4 for example can then play with hardcore PC gamers. All of this will be possible on the same server with the same mods and resources

How People Rate Minecraft

Its hard to imagine that anybody would talk ill of the game Minecraft. The game is a genre smashing title that changed the way people played online. Its even harder to find centralised reviews for the game like it is for games on Steam for example. Most results on Google for Minecraft reviews are for publications giving their opinions.  We did find one place for reviews and among the 33 currently written only 1 is negative, check them out for yourself.

A lot of people who review the game for magazines and websites talk about the educational side of it. This is most probably because most gamer’s don’t need to read reviews of the game. Most gamer’s know they want it based on videos and pictures as the game is pretty self explanatory. Our guess would be that it is to do with the parents searching.

The game has become an addiction to some, especially to children. This addiction could be in part to how the game allows you to do whatever you want without boundaries. The scary thing is that the game lets you be who ever you want online and once you pass the barrier of where you prefer that life to this one… you enter an addictive trait.

Similar Games

When Minecraft rose to fame many other developers tried to mimic the success without much joy. The companies that looked at what made Minecraft great and then tried to use those elements did do well. The following titles used elements but added to the end product in their own way. A new breed of games did have some success such as Terraria, Scrap Mechanic and Starbound.

Terraria

Another game that revolves around blocks, recourse collecting and crafting is Terraria. This game is also popular among the younger generation and its simplistic style of play. A simple game makes it easy to sit back and enjoy without stress. In this game their is a lot to see and do. Instead of Terraria being in a 3D world like Minecraft its side on 2D like the old Mario games for example. The challenges that appear in this game are the monsters and hazardous materials. Other players can also slow you down by killing you (if you are playing multiplayer online).

Scrap Mechanic

If you are all about the mechanical side of things and see yourself as an engineer then Scrap Mechanic is an awesome game to get into. The game does have blocks like Minecraft but currently lacks any survival elements. This is due to it being in the Steam Early Access program but the developers say its due soon. Once Scrap Mechanic gets survival mode and you need to fend off monsters the game could see a huge jump in players.

In Scrap Mechanic you focus on individual creations like vehicles instead of structures. This can lead to fun situations like challenging other players to build a race car. You could then take your race care and see who can get from one side of the map to the other quickest.

Starbound

Another blocky craft and survive game like Minecraft and Terraria is Starbound. This game has enjoyed a large player base that keeps coming back again and again. The title allows you to collect resources and then build bases. You also fight monsters and battle other people on servers all around the world.

Many hosting companies offer packages for this game. The ease of hosting is apparent as the resources needed are relatively low due to the slow pace of the game. Also, the dedicated server files for the game are pretty stable. Starbound hosting providers don’t need to spend much time offering support to customers reducing costs.

Minecraft DLC & Updates

Minecraft: Education Edition 12-15-2017

Its the kind of thing our dreams were made of as a child, playing games in school is now an official thing and Minecraft have released a special version to use in the classroom.

Mojang created individual lessons that are made easier to understand through the use of Minecrafts simple block mechanisms that aid the teaching process. All sorts of subjects can be taught using Minecraft: Education Edition, from economics to history and logic gates.

This version of the game appears to have its own server hosting system built into it to make it easier for teachers to get lessons moving forward.

Minecraft: Story Mode 12-15-2015

In late 2015 a story based Minecraft version was released called story mode that hit both PC and all of the major gaming consoles. Using voices of famous actors such as Paul Rubens (think Pee Wee Herman) the game was a chance for people who were getting tired of the same old sandbox rhetoric that Minecraft is built on to push further with the game.

As the game isn’t actually based on the Minecraft way of playing and that its a point and click adventure, you don’t actually need server hosting for it.

Minecraft Mods

Pixelmon

Although getting hard to find now, Pixelmon was massively popular with the Pokemon community before Pokemon Go came along. If you can get hold of a copy of the mod then you can experience the magic of capturing Pokemon with balls while crafting as you usually would in Minecraft.

Buildcraft

For serious Minecraft’ers who love to build advanced systems their is Buildcraft, a mod created to allow for more flexibility in building modular automated machines. This mod also adds new resources like metals and oil that can then be refined using advance machinery that is also included with Buildcraft.

VoxelMap

A huge improvement on the traditional flying blind style of not knowing where you are going or whats going on around you is the VoxelMap mod. With this really useful mod you can see what mobs are close by in the layers surrounding you to avoid bumping into an Enderman or other hostile players when playing on a server.

Hey Adam if you are still looking for cheap uk minecraft hosting I would suggest using Nitrous Networks! I have been using them for a couple months now and they have been Great! They are located in Bristol so I great some great pings from the server. They are relatively cheap and offer great support when you want to add mods :) Hope this helps.

Hello Adam, we understand that finding the right minecraft server provider can often be a hard choice, so let us offer you some advice that will hopefully help you make the right decision. If you use the Region filter you will be able to filter the hosts based on UK hosting. The main hosts that are based in the UK and EU are Nitrous Networks, Serenity Servers, Envious Host and Creeper Host. All these companies will offer support and are based in and around the UK so there is no need to worry about the time difference with these hosts. However a lot of the US hosts do offer 24/7 support and often have support workers that either work the late shift, or they are actually working in Europe in order to offer support around the clock.

Hey guys, I just wanted to ask for some help as I can see that their are so many Minecraft server providers around and I’m not entirely sure who I should use? I Live in the UK and ideally i'm looking for the best and cheapest minecraft hosting, in either the UK or somewhere close like France or Germany as I live in the South of the UK. I have tried searching google with searches however it always comes up with hosts that offer UK hosting but are based in the united states which isn’t ideal for me because I’m worried about the different time zones for support and help from the host. Thanks for the help in advanced.

This site is fantastic! Thanks for helping me find a cheap minecraft server rental company! Had been searching far and wide for a website that would point me in the right direction. Keep up the great work guys, really appreciate it!

This website is brilliant and hosts some of the Best companies that are around. Choosing a host can sometimes be difficult when it comes to Minecraft because of the sheer number of hosts that are offering their services for as low as $1.50 a month which is a pretty good deal if they offer support and have a helpline. I have been using different providers for well over 3 years now and have come across a lot of good and bad hosts and it's great to see that you have guys have missed out a lot of the bad hosts that I have used in the past. Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing with everyone the best and cheapest hosting providers! This is what our Minecraft community needed!

This commenting is adding on to what David and Sarah were talking about. I totally agree with David on 90% of what he saying about, however I feel that their are other options for players that want to run a bigger server without having to use a host. While using a host is a very effective why for people to start up it can work out more expensive if you already know what you are doing. Obviously it sounds like you are new to server hosting so I would suggest trying out a host to start with, however once you become a bit more familiar with the system and control panels that people use for Minecraft it is definitely worth thinking about renting a VPS for your Minecraft Server. A VPS is a great way to save you a money and will give you a lot more control over what you can do with your server without a host putting limits on it. However there is a downside to this as you won't receive any support like you would from a hosting company. You may be a long way off running your own server on a VPS but it’s definitely something that you should look into in the future for the best Minecraft server hosting.

Hello Sarah! Hopefully I can help you out with this :) I run a few servers with a few friends and having your own can seem rather daunting at times, but once you take the leap you will really start to enjoy the benefits of it. As you mentioned before prices can be different depending on the size of the server you are looking for. A lot of the companies that offer Minecraft Server Hosting will often have a variety of different packages that can start from as little as $2 a month and can be as expensive as $40, it will really depend on the size of server you are looking for. Obviously in your case you are looking for a relatively small package so this should only set you back around $5 a month for a standard server. However with some companies they will charge extra for a range of other services including extra support, which will usually cover you with any help you need including mod and plugin help, which can be useful if you're not sure what you are doing. They will usually offer other extras like voice servers and other extras but these are not necessary to get your Minecraft server up and running. As for RAM you want to look for a package that will offer you between 512MB and 2GB, as this will insure that you don’t get any lag on your server. You could probably get away with a 512MB RAM or 1GB RAM but it can change depending on your connection to the server and any additional mods or plugin you have added, as this will add to the workload of the server which will mean that your server will be working harder to maintain itself. A dedicated Minecraft server has loads of benefits and you will have so much control over your it as you will pretty much be able to do anything as you have full control. As mentioned before the main reason people tend to get server hosting is because they want a modded server, that can cause problems when trying to set it up on your own computer. As for choosing a host it will really depend on the money you want to spend and the support you hope to receive! It’s best to read reviews first and come up with a budget for your Minecraft server so you know what you are willing to spend. Sadly there is no Perfect host when it comes down to it and the chances are you will probably use a couple of hosts over a few months. Hope this has helped you out Sarah and I wish you all the best with your gaming :)

If you're looking for a good host then the first thing you should check is the control panel they use! If a host isn't using Multicraft then you are going to run into some problems if you are new to server hosting. There are a lot of hosts that offer Minecraft but don't have the right control panel to help new users which can make it very difficult for a lot of people to get their heads around. If you find a host that uses Multicraft you will be able to find loads of great help videos online that will explain how to get the most out of your hosting, with a step by step guide that will show you how to install plugins and mods. Multicraft gives you complete control and it’s easy to kick people and whitelist IP addresses unlike other control Panels. Minecraft Server Hosting is well worth getting if you have the right tools and the right host. When I first started hosting my own server I was completely clueless and was using a host that was using an old outdated method, which made it very difficult for me to understand what was going on as it was not specific to Minecraft. The number one rule is to always check the control panel you will be running your server with and if there are plenty of tutorials online to help you get your head around it, as a lot of hosts only offer very minimum support, which often means you have to sort the problem out yourself.

Hello everyone, I’m looking for some advice and hope someone on this site can help me out :D. Im sort of new to the idea of getting my own Minecraft server and was wondering if anyone here would be able to give me some advise on what I should get and the benefits it has and also what I should be looking out for, if i decide to actually move forward with renting my own server. The main thing that is confusing me is the prices and the amount ram I need. I'm ideally looking for a small server to start with that will allow up to 10 players. Ideally i'm looking for a cheap server but I don’t want to lose out on support and performance so I ‘am happy to spend a little more on hosting if that’s the best option.

It's really hard not to love Minecraft really! I have been using Minecraft game hosting for a couple of years now and I have always had a huge community following that have played on various mods on my server so it has been an amazing experience and I owe it all to Minecraft. The only problem that I have is that I don't have as much time as I used to so I can't get on as much. However it is such a great game and everyone should play it if they get a chance to.

I was surprisingly late to the Minecraft scene as I didn't have a computer to play it on and I thought it was initially a bit childish... Now im sure I will probably get some rude comments for saying Minecraft was "childish" but let's put that behind us because I'am now addicted to it and see the error of my ways. I first started playing on a friends xbox and I couldn't get enough of it! It was simple yet so satisfying. By the time I had seen the error of my ways I had enough money to buy a laptop to play it! All I can say is "Outstanding" So much better then console, I just can't stop playing! 5 months on and I now have my own community of players build and have my own server! Play Minecraft!

Brings gamers the true meaning of sandbox! Obviously you have a lot of games out there now that have tried to copy the minecraft infrastruct and even gone all out to create a clone in several different worlds including dinosaurs and space. However none of them have even come close to how great Minecraft is and always be. Minecraft takes all the great expects that makes and sandbox game a sandbox and then gives you the keys to take the open world for a ride! Want to build yourself an underground fortress an underwater city? Well Minecraft will let you do all of that and more! It’s a game in which you can just lose yourself and enjoy every hour that you play without feeling bad about pulling a sick day from college. Big MCLove

I was initially looking for free Minecraft hosting as I didn't want to pay for a server because I was worried about using paypal with a company that I know very little about. Or maybe it’s because I just don’t like spending money to be fair! However i soon realised that “FREE” did not exist in the Minecraft world as everyone offering it for “FREE”, were actually trying to harvest your personal details which is a bit of a scam in my eyes! In the end I realized that I was going to have to pay for this service, so I started to look for cheap MC hosting on the web as I knew I wouldn't be able to get it for free. After about an hour of searching the web it was clear that there were hundreds of companies offering hosting, which were all claiming to offer the cheapest which I found very hard to believe to be fair. After a few more hours of searching I did manage to find a relatively Cheap Host that even offered me a 24 hour trial without having to give them any of my details which was fantastic. The moral of the story is nothing comes for “FREE” but if you do your research you can find a great deal!

It was pretty important for me the buy Minecraft hosting as I was unable to host it on my own PC as its pretty terrible :( However was I got a few friends together and we all chipped in for a server we have never looked back. We have been able to mod it and do as we please which has made us all pretty darn happy. The only thing I would like to point out is that trying to find other users is a pain, you should add a server list to this site to help us out.

Now who hasn't in our current generation spent a matter of weeks building a giant fortress in the center of your kingdom on minecraft for one of your less trustworthy mates to blow it up in a matter of seconds? I know I have, and that's what makes minecraft one of the ultimate games you could ever create; what's the greatest version of Lego? Clearly minecraft receives great merit for its originality and simplicity to produce a game that can give yous one of the greatest gaming moments in your life. With the addition of servers minecraft has truly become the game of anything, now you can play anything that can be created. With such a diverse community of players from all ages and backgrounds minecraft has truly become the place to show off creativity, with servers offering almost any game you can picture you will be able to spend enough time playing to become a creeper hater in no time. The downfall of minecraft is plainly its simplistic graphics, one could argue to that you couldn't expect a game that offers such creativity to be so realistic, I personally feel that even though the graphics may not be 2000’s expected level it's doesn't exclude it from the community creating some beautiful landscapes. The survival mode also adds an element of purpose, allowing for you and a group of friends to truly test your survival skills, while another simplistic model this game play has been one of the fundamentals for many of the future games that have been created. Another problem I've found with Minecraft is the dedicated servers, while connections can vary i found that a lot of the games we unwelcoming, this is more of a community problem than anything the game itself is responsible for. Anyway we hope that you can identify the cheap Minecraft hosting that you are searching for.

Online has been a great way for me to play the game I love and make a little extra money on the side from the donations that I receive from my loyal community. I owe a great deal to Mojang as they have allowed me to play games and make money! (Which is pretty much living the dream.) The Best thing about running my own Minecraft server is the fact that I can create events for my followers in order to keep the game as interesting as possible. We regularly have little competitions on a weekly basis where I give away a few prices to the winners! It really is so much fun playing on your own MC server. Another great thing about having your own server is the fact that your are able to add as many mods and plugins you want to as we are using Multicraft which makes it so easy! The only thing that I would like to see in Minecraft is the ability for cross Platform play. I think Cross platform would be so good as I have a lot of friends that play on console that really want to join my server. Obviously Minecraft is so much better on PC as there is so much more you can do with your game.

Minecraft has to be one of the best games to have ever been created. I have been playing Minecraft for the last 3 years and have it on PC and tablet which means I can play all the time! It’s so amazing that someone came up with such a simple game that has so much to offer so many people. It’s surprising that it took someone so long to come up with the game. Since Microsoft purchased it, it has sky rocketed in my eyes and continues to get better everyday which is keeping both me and the other millions of fans very happy. The best bit about Minecraft is the ability to use mods and create your own if you are feeling adventurous, there really is no end to just how good this game is. Minecraft brings back so many memories of playing with Lego when I was kid! I was really surprised that they didn't bring out a Lego game before Minecraft was around as that could have easily been a huge hit like this! Anyway I have been playing for 3 years now and I will continue to play as I have just bought into the hype! Happy Playing everyone.

I actually Believe that Minecraft has the power to change the world as we know it. No Joke! I was reading the other day that a lot of Scandinavian countries are now using Minecraft in schools in order to teach kids. They want on to say that a lot of the schools had pre-built locations from around the world that they could walk around and help teach the kids. For example they were talking about showing them the pyramids and teaching them in game in order for the kids to soak up the knowledge better and it was actually working. Minecraft is slowly becoming so much more than a game and it’s clear to see why. Im sure that this will spark off a lot more educational games that I hope to see in schools. I would have probably learnt a lot more in school If i was taught about it while playing Minecraft. I missed out :(

Minecraft + Pokemon!!! Pixelmon if your a minecraft noob and haven't already bought in to the mod you are missing out.

I bought MC back in early access for about $5 if i remember correctly and I’m still playing on the same account I bought all those years ago now. So I would say not only do I love MC but i guess i'm addicted to it. There are worse addictions out there so im not really to bothered LOL.

For a game that has sold millions of copies it's not to be right? Put a few blocks here and there, build yourself a fancy house and dig a couple of mines when you need resources.. It’s alright! LOL. Who am I kidding? Minecraft is one of the best games I have ever played and I just can’t stop playing i'm so addicted. I started playing Minecraft in the Beta days with my buddy and we were automatically hooked! I remember getting home from college and login straight on to continue building our flying castle in the sky! Now this was before all the kids had even heard of Minecraft and it was at it’s most simple, but the game was still truly amazing for such an early release. I remember saying to my friend, “Why didn't anyone think of this sooner? It’s so simple and fun.” Of course the game has changed in a lot of ways and of course they are all amazing changes and the community are great. I would always go back to my routes though and play on a Vanilla server though as it truly is the best experience.

Well I had been looking for Cheap Minecraft Server Hosting and I finally found this site which has been a great help! I had been looking all over the internet and Minecraft forums for a decent list that would just tell me what hosts were around and the prices that I was expected to pay for each package. Really like how well documented this list is as it helped me find the Cheapest Minecraft Server Hosting for my budget so I’m very thankful. Please keep up the great work and continue to help out the Minecraft Community with your great site. It’s also really great to see that you let users give reviews on the company to help others out. Love minecraft :D :P :3 It's great to see that server hosting prices have dropped since it first came out. So much more affordable to rent a server for me and my friends.

I remember when mincraft first came out years ago picking it up on Beta for like $5! Cant believe how big it has gotten over the years, its weird seeing my litte brother and his mates playing it on their iPads. Nothing beats the PC master race though, they are so far behind on the ipad version.

Who doesn't love mincraft? Its the foundation in which all these sandbox/open world games have been built on and it still remains the biggest seller out of them all. It's nice to see that there are so many new games on the steam store that are pushing the boundaries with graphics and ideas, but there is always going to be one go to game that we can all fall back on.... MINECRAFT.

I can’t honestly see how so many of these hosts can justify the prices on their websites! For just a few pounds a month it crazy to see how these hosts even manage to cover their server costs? I would imagine a lot of the hosts are cramming everyone on to the same machine and over selling a lot of their products in order to get as much money as they possibly can. Shared hosting is a great idea and can be very cost effective if your Minecraft host is not overcrowding the machine. If you're looking for cheap Minecraft server hosting there is always a chance that you may not get what you pay for, so always make sure you check the company out and find reviews, to avoid being very disappointed! It happened to me when I first set up a server and the lag was terrible due to server stuffing! Don't let your Minecraft experience be ruined by rubbish hosts!
