Considered to be one of the paramount hero shooters around, Valve’s Team Fortress 2 is an astonishingly fun FPS game. One that any player could lose hours of their day in without even realising, it is simply one of those games. Now, while the game hasn’t seen many updates as of right now, but there are plenty of news to sink our teeth into. We finally get the chance to see what it is Valve have in the works for the game/community as of right now!

Taking place in Denmark for the Copenhagen Games, the tournament is set to be a 6V6 series of games. The time limit for each game is 30 minutes and the win difference is set to be 5. For the prize pool, it’s €3,000 in total, with €1,600 of that going directly to the first-place winner of the Round Robin group stage.

An exciting bit of news for any community content creators out there is the announcement of a new contest. This contest is named Journey to the East, a contest that revolves around eastern-themed items. For this contest, there are 4 different submission categories for you to choose from. There are cosmetics, weapons, war paints, and map props. Each one of these is subject to a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place reward; none of which go over a $60 Steam gift. Contributors may make 5 contributions but are expected to stick to the TF2 art style and the eastern-theme that the contest expects. By the end of the contest, winners shall be judged by a panel of judges for the best in each category.
