The founder of LogicServers gave us these answers to the new host questionnaire we sent out at the start of 2018:
The creator of the company, MouseyMars, created LogicServers due to the massive lack of GSPs that give dedicated resources and don’t overfill their nodes.
After speaking with many online personalities and their terrible experiences, Mousey decided to create a game server host free of those issues. Using the years of experience running game servers to start LogicServers.
Years of running gaming communities for different online influencers and my own large gaming communities. Lots of system admin and networking experience, being a web developer and designer by trade, and an awful lot of research into the industry.
The most important lesson I’ve learned is response times matter, DDoS attacks are common, and carrier neutral datacentres are extremely annoying.
The future holds more locations for you to get a server in, there are a lot more very interesting games coming out, and I can say with certainty there will be a lot more hardware shipped and a lot more racks filled.
Normally we would work together with other staff to resolve a difficult support ticket, ensuring that we try everything on our troubleshooting lists and update the customer as much as we can.
As for game developers, for the most part they would send us an email before making a large change like that so we would be prepared and nothing would be affected.
In the odd case that they didn’t email us, we have lots of admins working that could fix the issue.
Right now games that look really promising to me would be Pantropy, Small Land and ones that may take off I would say Rend and Rune Ragnarok.
We get these kinds of situations almost every day. The worst situation that has happened in the last few months was Github dropping off TLS 1.0 support, meaning lots of our customers couldn’t install or update mods for some games. We had to go through hundreds of machines and update Mono/.NET to fix the issue, back then we didn’t run any windows remote management so we had to go through each one individually – it took a few hours but we manually installed mods for people in the meantime.
Linux nodes were fixed within 10 minutes.
We sponsor an awful lot of influencers, for the most part we choose to partner with them rather than sponsor.

We offer free migration from a customer’s old provider to us, if there’s a mod not listed for a game, or a modpack, we’ll install it for free and in most cases, we just add it onto the control panel for you (with updates too).
Our ARK mod installer/updater is one of the fastest you’ll ever see, with most mod updates even on servers with 50+ mods taking around 1-2 minutes for all of them.
We currently own and operate our own racks in 80% of our locations, using only the latest and greatest hardware, with 4Ghz+ E3/E5 CPUs, DDR4 RAM and SSD/NVMe drives in raid. All our servers use SSD/NVMe drives that run game hosting.
We do have a i7s (mostly 7700ks but we’ve played with the 8700ks, i9s and Ryzen too). Based on our testing on quite a all the games we currently host, we just can’t see the benefit, though it is extremely cool to have a 4.8/5Ghz processor running in a tiny 1U space.
