Sometimes good, Sometimes not.

Honestly sometimes Mammoth Esports are really good but sometimes like recently things aren't. They finally fixed my sever but only after going to the manager after being highvalled around between people. Customer service was poor, my support ticket kept being turned off when obviously things weren't yet fixed. And the server was so unreliable and not working at all yet till I went to the manager and they finally gave me a new server instead of my old one things still wouldn't work. You couldn't even get into it through steam or the ark game. I was so close to pulling myself from there service and Looking for somewhere else to host my ark server. But after talking to the manager and the fact he saw my side of things I decided to give them a second chance and told them I am giving you till the end of my current billing period to fix things or I am gone. They finally pulled through and sorted the issue after passing me to Andrew there head ark server person to fix things. Still very bad experience there and taints how I feel about there company and makes me feel worried about how I will be treated again the next time I need support after how bad it was this time and am hoping I won't need to for a long time as it really soured what I thought of MME hosting.

Awesome Experience

I hosted a 7dtd server from MME, it worked flawless, straight out of the box, i still tinkered, to add mods though. I thought i would try to see what Ark Servers were like with MME, Parker set me up a special installation, after i explained i need more cpu oomphh... He went way above and beyond what he needed to do, only for me to say thanks but no thanks, purely because my canadian players didnt want to leave the install i had there. Highly recommend Mammoth. Best support experience ever.

When I was using MME, they were always there to assist with any problems

While using these guys, I felt like one of their crew and nothing was an issue. I had to let them go when their carrier screwed up their connection and haven't been back because my gaming team found another host. I'll certainly be back with them if we need another server.

[:en]Mammoth Esports are an Australian based game hosting company with a big love for the growing e-sports market. They have a range of game servers available on their website and cater for some of the modern classics like Conan Exiles.

We interviewed the founder Andrew when he applied for Mammoth Esports to join CompareGameHosting. He was kind enough to provide these answers to the 10 questions we asked him:

When did you form your game hosting company and why?

MME Hosting opened its doors on the 21st of September, 2016. Initially fulfilling requests for private servers, we soon realised that we were able to more efficiently provide servers due to our small company footprint, resulting in lower prices and a competitive edge on the Australian market.

What experience of game hosting did you have before you formed your GSP?

We at MME had very little experience in dealing with game servers. Prior to MME, we would create our own servers so that our gaming community could play and grow. Over time, we started dealing with more complex servers and thus started taking in private requests for servers. With this, we were forced to learn quickly and efficiently to better help our growing client base, which resulted in the expansion of our service and the opening of MME.

What have been the most important lessons you have learnt during your time as a GSP?

The biggest challenge that we have faced since opening our doors was our unexpected rate of growth! Initially, we were forced to turn away clients due to our lack of infrastructure and budget restrictions.

Where do you see your GSP in 3 years time? What does the future hold for your company?

The MME team are excited to see the company continue to grow in the future. We have a unique hosting position in Australia, as we do not operate out of any capital city! We are the first to take it outback and have succeeded in providing an efficient and reliable service. We are looking forward to expanding to more rural Australian towns and hope to have a center in New South Wales, Northern Territory, and Tasmania in the near future.

What has been your main game? Have you maybe focused on one game and specialised in hosting it?

Surprisingly, our best seller is our “ARK: Survival evolved” servers. Over 90% of our clients are currently using these servers. Our next most popular is “7 Days To Die”.

How do you handle support in difficult situations?

If the development team needs to edit files or alter a client server, we ensure that both direct email and social media updates keep the client informed. We aim to be transparent in our operations, and work hard to rectify any problems and keep our servers running.

What Early Access or young games do you see taking off in the near future?

Currently, we don’t look at what we think the next big hit will be, but rather listen to what our clients want and their requests to have a specific game added or altered. We are not focused on keeping up with the big companies, but rather on our customer satisfaction and making sure our services are running as smooth as they can.

Has there been a situation where you have had to deal with a difficult request and how did you respond to it?

The most difficult situation we have faced so far was our sudden migration to our newly built data center with only 4 weeks of notice. The move was caused by the ISP disconnecting the old data center before the agreed shut-off date, resulting in a loss of service. After a heated discussion with the ISP, the decision was made to migrate immediately to reduce the downtime for our clients. All MME staff disconnected and successfully migrated our equipment to the new data center with a total of only 6 hours of down-time. Thankfully, the majority of our clients understood the situation, and were given a free day of server time as compensation.

Do you sponsor any Twitch/YouTube channels and if so would you like to give them a shout out?

We currently do not sponsor any streamers or YouTubers.

We can offer free website hosting for Clans or Guilds that use our service.[:]
