Rust Experimental or Rust Default as many now refer to it is the re-release of the original Rust Legacy. It improves upon the issues of running a rust server with lower pings and less lag. The game was in early access up till early 2018. Where the game finally saw it’s full release after over 6 years of development. The title was missing many of the original features upon on early release. But developers have now stated that RUST is complete. Although you can expect regular updates from Facepunch Studios. The game still follow the same structure in which players must fight, craft and build. Which is a standard model to survive in the harsh lands of rust.
To get a Rust Legacy server of your own you need to:
Rust Experimental server hosting is a must for any large community. As players are able to mod their servers, adding many features that other worlds may not have. Many players choose to add extra weapons and options to spice up the game. With many players worrying that the game has become mundane over the years. Due to the fact that other games have come out and stolen the limelight of the survival genre. These game of course include, Ark and DayZ which have all been in development during the same time. What many players do not realise is that Rust was actually a clone of DayZ. With much of the same feature being copied. Although Rust is a lot more chaotic compared to other games. With players being rewarded over time rather than focusing on skill. This is because you gain more in game with the more you play. Rather than how well you play the game. Which in many people’s opinions is what let this game down in the long run.
The initial reception of RUST was actually very good. With a reported 1 millions copies being sold in the first 2 months of early access. This was way more than Gmod had achieved upon its initial release. The game went on to sale another 2 million copies by 2015. Which actually saw RUST out selling Gmod in 3 years which was unexpected by developers. As of its official release the game has now sold over 5.5 million copies. Making it one of the stand out games of the survival genre. With many games like “The Forest” and “H1Z1” drawing many aspects from the rust game play. With many of the features popping up within these games as their core foundations.
Rust Legacy is the latest version of Rust, which features all the current updates and patches that have recently been released. The game came out of early access in early 2018 after being in development for over 5 years. The latest version improved on much of the game physics and balancing of the game. Players were often unhappy about the experimental version because of the bugs. That was all smoothed out in Rust legacy and now players are able to experience a much fairer in game experience.
Recent additions saw crafting and levelling systems being tweaked as well. This of course is because of the balanced game play. Making it a lot easier for new players of Legacy to join servers.
If your a fan of the hectic style of Legacy then we would suggest checking out Exile Mod. This mod was released as part of the Arma 3 series. Players land on an empty island with loads of other convicts. The object of the game is to of course survive as long as possible by any means necessary.
Players will have to scavenge, collect and fight their way to the top in this epic power struggle. All mods within Arma 3 have great communities and dedicated hosting so be sure to give this game a try.

The RUST train has been a long journey, however we have all had some ups and downs while playing the RUST game or games should I say. Rust Experimental is so much better than Legacy and we have already seen so much of what is to come on the full release with plenty of additions and a few good RCON tools. I had to purchase Rust Experimental Server hosting as I found that other community servers wee being hacked or just run by kids. Smart Investment.
I have a only really started playing Rust in the last few months, but I have to say that I really enjoy the freedom of the game and how much there is no explore and build. I know the game is still in early access but its so good already so surely it can only get better as they continue to develop everything. I know there is a long debt about which RUST is better but who cares? The finished game will be awesome no matter what early release title you support! Just play rust and have loads of fun!
Not only do people attack you and take all your stuff but they will laugh at you and rub salt in the wound while they do it! Rust is such a fun game its unreal, the people on there are hilarious and you will always find the its a numbers game when it comes to surviving. We recently decided to rent out own Rust Experimental server hosting as we loved it so much and wanted to actually start having admin powers. This game will never get old! I have over 150 Hours played and I still play it like a mad man!
I have been playing ever since day 1 and haven't stopped since. First of all the game is highly addictive, so if you start playing be prepared to leave your old life behind as you will be consumed by the world of RUST. I play my own small population Rust Experimental server as a lot of the players on the other server tend to be jerks or do speak a word of English which can get very confusing in a stand off. I have huge hopes for the future of RUST and would love to seems them add more to the PVE aspect. Adding more threats and NPC's would be amazing.
