First of all, we’ve got their latest announcement that the game is going to be released for the Nintendo Switch. As of right now, there is already footage of the game running on the Switch, without any problems. While it won’t be as in-depth as the PC version, it’s reported to be the exact same at the PS4’s. By any chance the PS4’s version gains any updates, as will the Nintendo Switch’s. For the time being there isn’t too much news in regard to this news, but if anything else occurs, we’ll keep you posted.
For a while now, people have been waiting for phase 2 of the TLC update can rejoice, as it has just been released. On the 20th March 2018 is when it dropped and was available for download for free. As with the first part of the TLC update, a lot of the changes have improved a few specific dinosaurs.
First up on the list is the fan-favourite, the Argentavis! The Argentavis has received an update to its model, animation set, and its textures. This bird has even gained some new abilities, such as being able to pick up 2 creatures: one with the beak, and the other with claws. By consuming a corpse, the Argentavis will now gain a health regen buff and some resources have reduced weight. Obsidian, metal, metal ingot, polymer, and stone are all 50% lighter while being carried/held by this bird.
Next up, there is the Parasaur. While the Parasaur still looks the same, it has had its sound tweaked and has gained some new abilities. One ability is to be able to scare small creatures when they are near. More importantly, they can now scan for nearby threats and will visually tell you when there is one. The Parasaur has pretty much been updated to be an alarm!
Onto the Raptor, they’ve received a model, animation, and texture update, along with some new abilities. When Raptors are in a pack, they gain a small buff and can now pounce onto a target with right-click. Then there is the Sarcosuchus, and that receives a model, animation, and texture update with some new abilities as well. The Sarco now has a lunge, death roll, and attack enemies from behind with its tail.
Next, we have the Spinosaur and that receives a model, animation, and texture update. Plus, it has some new abilities as well. First of all, it now has a water buff, so it moves faster while in the water and can attack on 2 or 4-feet. The Spinosaur also has some stronger attacks and hurts a fair bit more now.
Lastly, there is the Triceratops, which receives a model, animation, and texture update, and abilities. Now, it can charge for a short time and the longer they charge, the faster it moves. Also, when they are around large carnivores, it will gain a small buff to compensate.
For now, that’s the TLC phase 2 patch done in a nutshell. Hopefully, it won’t be too much longer until we learn more about phase 3.
