Additional ARK: Survival Evolved Information
ARK survival evolved is a game that so many have come to both love and hate over the last few years due to both its longevity and ability to make you feel like every hour you have spent has been wasted when some other player comes along and completely wipes out your camp, your supplies and everything you have worked so hard for over the last 100 + hours, which begs the question, why do we go back, time and time again to rebuild, craft and try again? The game itself is very typical of the survival/ open world genre that so many other games have been built on such as DayZ, Minecraft, H1Z1 and many other titles that have been released on the early access titles of steam in the past 3-4 years but what makes this game so different? What makes these players spend so many hours in their free time crafting and maintaining servers for their friends and foes to play on?
Despite this game following the typical craft and survive mentality there are many differences in this game that have really helped push this game to the top of the steam charts and sales over the last 2 years. The main factor that has helped keep this title fresh is the environment in which this game has been set. The game is set on a prehistoric island in which anything goes when it comes to surviving. Players not only have to watch out for other players but they also have to keep an eye on the environment as a vast majority of the dinosaurs and other creatures will attack if provoked, so you better make sure you have leveled up enough to take on the world around you.
Having just mentioned taking on the environment it’s worth noting that you will really need to understand that vast and specific leveling system that you can find in game as this will really help you dominate the world around you with skills that help improve both your character and the amount of stuff that you can build in craft. As with in game the higher you level up the more likely you are to survive and take on better and big monsters in fights and in terms of taming them for your own use. The game at time can be a bit of a grind but its is very rewarding which is why so many people just can’t put this game down and continue to keep the community strong.
Many gamers who have overly enjoyed this game continue to create outside content known as mods that are applied to their very own Ark server hosting, which means other players can join and experience these new mods which include new maps, new dinosaurs and the addition of extra materials, buildings and tools, so it’s worth testing different ARK Survival Servers if you’re looking for a new experience or challenge.
